Dream Beach Self-catering Lodge in Mozambique is situated approximately half-way between Ponta do Ouro and Ponta Malongane – allowing for guests to enjoy the best of both towns!
Located on a large wooded estate, the chalets which comprise Dream Beach Lodge are serviced daily.
The 2 sleeper chalets, which are located behind the sand dune, have direct beach access (approximately 500m) and comprise standard chalets (which share a communal kitchen and dining area) and deluxe chalets - each with their own private kitchen.
The 9 standard chalets comprise either double or twin options and have an en-suite bathroom with shower. The standard chalets do not have a kitchen, however, a fully equipped communal kitchen is provided.
The 5 deluxe chalets also accommodate 2 guests and have an en-suite bathroom and a private kitchenette located behind a heavy curtain. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge/freezer, 2 plate gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and limited pots/pans, cutlery and glassware.
Dream Beach Self-Catering Lodge also has a variety of 4 sleeper cottages and two 3 bedroom houses with seaviews and direct beach access.
An undercover dining area is provided for guests staying in the chalets – an airy sunny setting where guests can enjoy their meals and meet new friends. Guests may also enjoy a refreshing dip in the large, sparkling pool.
The popular seaside village of Ponta is home to a variety of restaurants, pubs and operators who provide an array of beach activities - from scuba diving to swimming with dolphins. A colourful market sells a variety of sarongs, seasonal fruits & vegetables, seafood, airtime, local bread and the famous (but lethal) Tipo Tinto Rum!

GUEST REVIEWS FOR DREAM BEACH SELF-CATERING LODGE IN PONTA DO OURO
Service: Good

I can recommend that each unit needs an aircon. I would have paid more per day, just to have an aircon. It would also be nice if each unit have their own braai. Sometimes you don’t want to join the communal braai and just want some privacy. I would also recommend a wooden fence or grass fence between the units where the stoep is to give you some sort of privacy. Some of the units are so close that your neighbour is watching you while you having breakfast/dinner.
We like going to Dream Beach, but these small things might change the experience. The house where we stayed last year was excellent and we had much more privacy and will recommend that to anybody.

The accommodation was great. The kettle and toaster was not working but very clean.

The unit (no 14) did not have an aircon as was my understanding there would be. The unit’s interior was kept clean however the outside of the units require some cleaning: I had a humongous spider web outside my kitchen window, eggs and mother, the entire time I stayed there; there was some garbage (empty juice cartons) in the bushes outside my unit for the duration of my stay).
I did not use the communal kitchen/ pool as this was occupied by other resort clients which did not leave much opportunity to use this space.
Overall I had a very joyous holiday at the resort and would definitely consider staying there again in future.

Whole site, including room, pool, braai area, etc. were all very clean, neat and tidy. We plan to visit again.
Not a complaint, but can be annoying for some – because we were only guests we understand, but, cleaning lady basically just enters the room in the morning to do her chores while we still packing a few things to go out for the day. Does not give one a chance to finish and leave the room. You basically have to keep the door locked to keep her out. On other hand she is very friendly, helpful and does her job well.
