Ngumula Lodge in the Guinjata area of Mozambique offers superb self-catering accommodation in very homely, comfortable solid timber houses - a mere 100m from the beach.

These airy, well styled houses have 4 spacious air-conditioned bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (two of which are en-suite). The queen sized beds in the two front rooms and 3/4 beds in the two rear bedrooms provide ample space for 8 guests.

A huge kitchen that is well equipped with all the essentials, including a huge 6 plate Smeg stove, industrial ice maker, stand-alone deep freeze and fridge. The open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge open onto a wraparound deck with its own plunge pool and stunning seaviews.

This proximity to the beach, allows for close up viewing of whales frolicking in the warm waters between April and November.

There is a reef in front of the lodge which offers wonderful snorkelling, relaxing in the big natural pools at low tide and boogie boarding at high tide.
