The Clarens Country House is situated amongst tall trees in a corner of the secure Clarens Golf Estate. With thick sandstone walls, this country house is refreshingly cool in summer and a cosy haven during Clarens' chilly winters.

Golfers may enjoy a round of golf as guests on the homeowner's card at a discounted rate. For non-golfers, the house is a short 5 minute walk from the village centre which has great shopping, restaurants and art galleries.

Accommodation at Clarens Country House is provided in 4 luxury en-suite self-catering apartments. Three of the suites open onto a huge shared, glassed stoep (verandah) with beautiful 360 degree views, while Shepherd's Loft is a private suite suitable for romantic getaways.

The Ouhout Suite overlooks Mount Horeb and is a stylishly furnished suite with a spacious bedroom and en suite bathroom. The suite has an elegant lounge and fully equipped open plan kitchen.

The Bosman Suite is a double storey suite ideally suited to a family or 2 couples. The 2 en-suite bedrooms are located upstairs – downstairs is a large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen.

The Wildeals Suite has views over the golf course and the village of Clarens. This suite has a large en-suite bedroom and beautifully styled open plan kitchen and lounge.

The Shepherd's Loft suite is a private apartment, separate from The Clarens Country House and is ideally suited for romantic getaways. This loft suite features a private garden, an open plan lounge, kitchen, and dining and en-suite bedroom with views over Mount Horeb.

All suites are equipped with DSTV, electric blankets, sherry decanters and wall heaters.

Enjoy relaxing and meeting new friends on the shared 'stoep' which is the heart of the country house. Perfect for sundowners or afternoon naps! The glass sliders can be thrown open to enjoy cool summer breezes or closed to enjoy the warmth of the wood burning fires.
