AfriCamps Robertson is located in Pat Busch Mountain Reserve, just outside Robertson. The reserve spreads over 2000 Hectares of spectacular mountain fynbos with streams, mountain dams, birdlife and various animals such as bucks, fallow deer, Nguni cows and even a very shy leopard. The reserve is also home to a rare Protea Flower that was thought extinct for almost 50 years and is now under the protection of Cape Nature. The 10 boutique glamping tents are tucked away in the Cape fynbos and look out over a green valley with the Langeberg as a gorgeous backdrop. These stylish tents feature life’s enjoyable comforts like a fully furnished open-plan kitchen, lounge area, dining space, two separate bedrooms with luxurious extra-length queen-size beds and a bathroom with a spacious rain shower. In addition the stylish tents feature air-conditioning, braai facilities and Wi-Fi (limited). Guests can pre-order delectable locally sourced breakfast and braai baskets with side dishes, which can be cooked in the tent kitchen or on the braai. The property offers endless possibilities for fun! You can explore numerous walking trails, enjoy some bird watching, try your hand at bass fishing and take a refreshing swim or paddle in the farm dam. The sparkling nine-meter swimming pool surrounded by a lush green lawn is the perfect spot to chill during the summer heat. The reserve forms part of the Klaasvoogds West foothills in the Langeberg Mountain between the towns of Robertson & Montagu. With over 160 years of history, Robertson has grown into one of the most attractive Cape Winelands towns, with Victorian buildings, jacaranda-lined streets and vineyards banked with beautiful roses. The Robertson Valley forms part of Route 62, the longest wine route in the world and famous for its many wine festivals. There are also a big variety of attractions, activities and culinary delights on offer. Visit the Rialheim, a ceramic factory, where you can buy unique handcrafted ceramics, enjoy wine tasting on the Viljoensdrift River Cruise including a gourmet picnic on the tranquil waters of the Breede River. Or meander your way up the Langeberg Mountain with the Montagu Tractor Trip and enjoy your traditional Potjiekos at an altitude of 1500m above sea level.
