Each comfortable, air-conditioned, self-catering chalet is serviced daily and has its own private braai area. Enjoy coffee and rusks on your own patio while listening to the dawn chorus. The many bushveld trees on the property attract a variety of birds, especially in summer when the local species are joined by migrant birds. Accommodation is provided in spacious 1 or 2 bedroom self catering, thatched chalets, which are interspersed within the indigenous woodlands. One Bedroom Chalets (Maximum 2 Adults and 2 Children under 12 years) The one bedroom air-conditioned chalet comprises a main bedroom with queen size bed, separate bathroom, lounge with sleeper couch suitable for young children, an open plan dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The 1 bedroom chalet is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. The chalet has a patio with a built-in braai. Two Bedroom Chalets (Maximum 4 Adults and 2 Children under 12 years) The two bedroom air-conditioned chalets comprise 2 bedrooms and a loft area. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and also features an en-suite bathroom. The semi-private loft area, accessed by ladder, has twin beds with mosquito nets. There is an open plan lounge, dining and fully equipped kitchen. There is a large patio with a built-in charcoal braai and alfresco dining space. Take a walk through the gardens to the Kruger Gate Hotel where you can enjoy a buffet-style breakfast and à la carte lunches on the sundeck, or dinner under the African skies. Relax with sundowners at the viewing deck and bush bar overlooking the Sabie River, listening to the grunting of hippos and watching game come down to drink. Guests can enjoy easy access to the Kruger National Park through the Paul Kruger Gate, which is a mere 1km away from Burchell's Bush Lodge. The swimming pool on the property is a delightful respite after a hot day of game viewing. For the more energetic, there is a variety of sporting facilities available locally.
