Experience the charm of a Mozambique house designed in a traditional style, crafted from a blend of wood, thatch and with wall partitions created from tightly bound bundles of grass. The accommodation at Cowrie Lodge comprises the main house, adjoining casita and a separate self-catering chalet. The main house can accommodate 5 people. It comprises 2 bedrooms, bathroom with shower, scullery, kitchen and a large deck with lounge chairs, dining room table and spectacular sea views. The Cowrie Lodge main house has a separate outdoor casita: a room with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower. The separate self-catering chalet comprises a bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, an open area with a kitchenette and a living area with a single bed and a bunk bed. There is a small deck with stunning sea views. There is also a built- in charcoal braai area which offers sweeping views of Barra and the boundless ocean below. It's the perfect setting for unforgettable outdoor gatherings and delicious grilled feasts with a view that goes on forever. The lodge is serviced daily by our friendly local staff and is very private and secure. Put your feet up and gaze at the endless sea view, grab the freshest catch of the day as the local fishermen land on shore below – and don't forget your binoculars for close up viewing of the whales - frequently spotted between July and November each year!

Minimum Stay Low Season - 2 Nights Peak Season (December) - 7 nights Extra Guests R350.00 - Per additional person per day will apply for each guest exceeding the maximum allocation per unit. Staff Fee Housekeeping is included in the rate. Please tip the staff for good service. Breakage/Damage Deposit A R2 000.00 refundable breakage deposit is required prior to arrival. The deposit will be refunded within 7 days less any breakages/damages reported.
