Large enough to accommodate 18 people (14 Adults and 4 children under 12 years), this enormous house boasts 7 bedrooms, all with magnificent sea views. Five of the bedrooms have king size beds and the remaining two bedrooms each have a bunk bed (with a double below and a single above). Mar Azul 1B has 7 bathrooms, 4 of which are located upstairs and there are 3 bathrooms downstairs. Only one of the bathrooms has a bath and shower, the other six bathrooms all have showers. Bed Configuration Bedrooms 1 - 5 - Each have a king size bed Bedrooms 6 & 7 - Each has 2 x bunk beds (double bed at the bottom and a single bed on top) The bright and airy open plan kitchen and living areas open onto a large wooden deck with patio furniture, a private swimming pool and stunning 180 degree sea views. The deck has a coal braai. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes modern conveniences. a 4 hob electric stove & oven, a washing machine, 3 fridge/freezers and 2 chest deep freezers. There are 2 full time housekeepers at Mar Azul 1B who will make sure the house is clean and tidy during your stay. The house is also equipped with a generator for use during power outages. Ponta Malongane is a popular holiday destination as the Kosi Bay border is approximately a short, scenic 5 hour drive from Durban, or 8 hours from Johannesburg.

R1 500.00 - Late check outs at 3.00pm may be arranged in advance, provided no guests are arriving on your departure date. If a booking is received to arrive on your departure date, the late check out will be cancelled and the payment refunded with the breakage deposit. R1 000.00 - Guests who check out after 3.00pm will have an additional R1,000 deducted from the breakage deposit. Staff Fee R200.00 – Staff Cleaning Fee per day8. There are 2 full time housekeepers. Please pay each of the housekeepers R100 per day. We had an awesome time at Mar Azul 1B with friends from SA! We loved this house and it worked so well for our group of 12! The only issues we had were with the one dear cat, Ginger, who lives at the house. As sweet as he is, he is constantly underfoot and begging for food. He also cried and complained all night , which was slightly disruptive to sleep! On the day we departed, the cleaning staff were in very early and cleaning around us and stripping beds, while we were trying to have a last coffe and pack up. I feel that if check out is at 10am then they need to be less intrusive until that time. I was the last to leave at 10.05 ..... and did not enjoy feeling 'hassled'. But overall a fabulous stay, and we would certainly stay again and recommend to fellow expats.
