Campsites The 53 beautifully shaded camp sites at Malongane Beach Resort are spread out along a 1km area of the resort. All sites are within easy walking distance to the beach and to the numerous ablution blocks. The size of each site varies between 6-12 people per site. All the sites have a plug point. Refrigerators/freezers are not provided for our guests in the camp sites. Guests are also requested to bring their own braais/grids, tables, chairs and umbrellas. Chalets Malongane Beach Resort boasts 10 rustic chalets situated close to the beach and the beach bar and restaurant. There are four 4-sleeper chalets, four 5-sleeper chalets and two 6-sleeper chalets with private bathrooms which are serviced daily. The chalets have basic self-catering equipment with bedding, linen, crockery, cutlery, fridge/freezer, gas cooker, ceiling fans and outdoor braai (barbeque) facilities. Rondavels The four 4-sleeper rondavels comprise an open plan kitchen/living area with private bathroom just a few metres from the beach. One of the rondavels has a separate bedroom with a double bed. The rondavels are serviced daily and are equipped with bedding and linen, crockery, cutlery, fridge/freezer, gas cooker, ceiling fans and a portable braai (barbeque). Dive Camp Tents 25 Dive Camp Tents are situated close to the dive camp and boat launching area. 14 of these two-man dome tents are positioned on wooden decks with shade covers, whilst the other 11 are ground tents in the shaded camp area closer to the beach. Each tent has 2 single mattresses and mosquito screened door and windows. Guests occupying these tents will have the use of the Dive Camp communal self-catering kitchen where fridge/freezer space will be allocated on arrival. The adjacent ablutions have hot water showers and power outlets for hairdryers and shavers. There are no plug points in the tents but these are available at the dive camp for charging laptops, cell phones, cameras and for other personal equipment. Rustic Log Huts The 19 log huts are ideal for scuba divers. They accommodate 2 people per unit and each has 2 single beds. These log huts are positioned at the Dive Camp, just a few metres from the beach. There are no plug points in the huts but guests may charge their appliances and/or equipment at the Dive Camp. Guests staying in the log huts have the use of the Dive Camp communal self-catering kitchen where fridge/freezer space will be allocated on arrival. The kitchen is equipped with gas cookers, pots and pans and basic cooking utensils. The adjacent ablutions have hot water showers and power outlets for hairdryers and shavers. No cooking, candles or mosquito burners are permitted inside or on decks of log huts and crockery or cutlery are not provided. Guests are advised to bring their own. In addition, guests are requested to bring own bedding and linen, beach and bath towels. Low volume music will be tolerable, but all music to stop at 21h00. Water at the Resort is provided by a borehole and is fine for washing and bathing. Bottled water is recommended for drinking. There are no Credit Card facilities at the Resort. The Resort operates strictly on a cash only basis. Please ensure you bring sufficient cash in either SA Rands; US$ or Meticais for the duration of your stay. 4x4 vehicles or 2x4 vehicles with diff lock are required. No smoking allowed inside the houses, chalets, tents on deck and Log Huts. Should you require a border transfer, secure parking is provided at the border at a cost of approximately R50.00 per vehicle per day Plug points at the Resort run on 5 amps and are unable to support any electrical appliances with elements i.e. Hairdryers, Electric kettles, Electric heaters.
