Serolo Safari Camp in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve is a small and intimate tented camp situated 600 metres from the Limpopo River and just 6 hours drive from Johannesburg. The ideal long weekend getaway for Gauteng residents. The unfenced Serolo Safari Camp offers accommodation in five fully-serviced, 2 sleeper safari-style tents that comprise two single beds, electric lamps, linen, towels and electric lights. En-suite showers with hot water and flush toilets are provided. There is also an additional self-contained self-catering unit at Serolo Safari Camp. This unit comprises one large bedroom with a double bed and a sofa. There is plenty space for stretcher beds. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/ freezer, kettle, toaster, stove and oven, a dining table and all the necessary crockery and cutlery. The unit has its own private outdoor shower and toilet and it there is a private fire and braai area. The central lapa and dining area with a fire-pit on the main deck and a splash pool is the perfect spot to unwind. The nearby waterhole is visited by elephants, leopard, hyaena, bushbuck, bush pig and warthog. Relax and watch the hundreds of bird species too. The Tuli Area boasts the world’s largest elephant population on privately-owned land (over 1800 elephants) with incredible sightings that provide fantastic photo opportunities. Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Spotted and Brown Hyena are amongst the many carnivore species that occur within the reserve. This private and exclusive Serolo Safari Camp is in a spectacular, rugged and wild area that has been described as Botswana’s best kept secret! Off the beaten track, you can be sure that there will be no crowds and you can revel in an authentic wilderness experience. The all-inclusive rates include four meals a day, tea and coffee as well as two game activities (professionally guided walks or game drives/night drives in an open 4x4 game-viewer). For those who prefer to self-cater–the fully equipped kitchen comprises a gas and electric stove, electric kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave and deep freeze. All crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and firewood are provided. Camp attendants are on hand to help unpack on arrival, wash dishes, make beds, provide hot water in the showers, service the camp and make sure that there is a fire going at all times. A variety of drinks are available for purchase at Tuli Wilderness, Serolo Safari Camp. All children are welcome under strict adult supervision Tap water at Mohave Camp is safe to drink and is regularly tested. All guests are required to complete and sign an indemnity form, prior to or on arrival at Serolo Safari Camp. None of the camps are fenced and therefore it is not uncommon to find many species of animals in and about the camps. We do not permit any unaccompanied walking or driving around the reserve.
