The Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park, now known as the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, was declared South Africa’s first Natural World Heritage Site in 1999. It is considered South Africa’s third largest park and extends from Mapelane (Cape St. Lucia) in the South, to Kosi Bay Nature Reserve in the North. Sunset Lodge St Lucia offers a selection of 8 self-catering log cabins, accommodating two to five guests per cabin. The cabins are fully equipped for self-catering and feature private, wooden deck areas where one can sit, relax and appreciate the amazing African sunsets. Each cabin features a kitchen, lounge, bathroom, air-conditioning and TV with limited channels. The crystal-clear swimming pool overlooks the estuary with magnificent views. Ideal for relaxing whilst watching the boats, hippos and crocs on the water. Hippo often visit to graze on the lawns at Sunset Lodge, as well as red duiker, bush buck, banded mongoose, bush babies and vervet monkeys. The bird life is very active and you can often hear the cry of the fish eagle. Sunset Lodge St Lucia is the perfect choice for your St. Lucia escape – ideally located within close proximity to a number of area activities including deep sea fishing, boat cruises and hippo tours.
