The location serves as a perfect stop over for travellers to and from the park. The large stone and thatched main building are the central hub which comprises the lounge, bar, dining area and terrace with both barbeque and swimming pool overlooking the waterhole in the Auob Riverbed. Guests may choose between self-catering chalets or catered accommodation. Breakfast and dinner at Torgos Lodge is served in the marvellous stone clad dining area which has a warm, cosy ambience. Alternatively self-catering options are available in 4 of the chalets. Luxury Stone Chalets There are six luxury 2-sleeper stone chalets. They are built with natural stone walls. Equipped with two twin beds, chairs, wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities. En-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. Luxury Tented Chalets The 4 tented chalets have canvas sides and a stone floor. They are equipped with two twin beds, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. Camp Site Torgos Lodge features two newly built luxury campsites, each with its own ablution. There is a donkey boiler for hot water, electricity, as well as braai facilities. The camp site is only 200m from the restaurant. You will be able to have your meals at the lodge (kindly arrange before arrival) and relax next to the pool. The lodge is located within a game camp which is home to a wide variety of antelope species including Gemsbok, Blue Wildebeest and Eland. A drinking waterhole is situated close to the main facilities for your game viewing pleasure. In addition, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park can be entered in the mornings for self-drives and picnics. For the birders, there is abundant birdlife as well as a vulture breeding colony.
