Pongola Game Reserve is host to four of the Big Five - buffalo, elephant, rhino and leopard. In addition, hyena, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and over 350 bird species can be spotted. Beautiful views, glorious sunsets, therapeutic silence, game drives, guided walks, boat cruises, rhino walks, a unique ‘elephanting’ experience and scenic flights ensure a rich and unique African experience. The White Elephant Bush Camp provides a relaxed and private getaway. It is ideal for groups, celebrations, family reunions or an exciting weekend away with friends. The camp is booked out exclusively to one group at a time. The seven thatched en-suite chalets are spacious and comprise twin beds, with quality linen and overhead fans. The fully equipped open plan kitchen is complete with a dining room and bar. For those who require a helping hand with preparation and cooking, an assistant is available on request. The expansive outdoor entertainment area has a swimming pool with loungers and offers spectacular views. Enjoy late night chit-chat in your own private boma and when the sun rises, venture into the wilderness with a field guide on bush walks, game drives or boat cruises. In addition, a 6 sleeper cottage, The UmKhaya Cottage is available for guests, situated within walking distance to the Bush Camp. This cottage comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen and lounge with air-con. Both bedrooms have twin beds and there is a bunk bed in the 2nd bedroom for 2 children. Outside you will find a braai, fire pit and a wood-fired hot tub to enjoy and relax.
